I don’t think this is usually the type of question asked on this subreddit but in case anyone has some advice I figured I would ask. A couple months ago, we adopted a wonderful dog who we love very dearly and who could benefit from a fellow canine friend. Yesterday, we met with a potential second dog who we immediately adored. There are a couple concerns, most majorly that we also have cats, and we’re not sure if the dog we met is good with cats, and that’s kind of a hard mistake to come back from if it goes very poorly. The other problem is that we’ve never had two dogs before and this whole process is unfamiliar territory, and while we do think we want to do it, we’re very nervous about making the wrong choice. Does anyone have any advice to offer that might be of some help?
