We have three cats, with wildly different coats. One is fairly oily and very long-furred (like, 3 inches in places) with a moderate undercoat, one is a bit dry, short-furred, with an undercoat so thick it's wooly, and one is a more standard coarse shorthair.
So far a slicker brush works well for the latter but does nothing for the other two. A shedding blade (the flexible metal band thing with triangular teeth) works on the wooly one well but throws fur everywhere and I'm allergic and it generally sucks to use on cats, and I've yet to find something that does anything for the long-haired one. Ideas?
