my cat is meowing at me and i don’t know why

i hope this is the right sub for this- if it’s not i’m sorry but my cat lately has been driving me crazy and i don’t know what to do.

she starts howling for food an hour to two hours early, she’s even scared me by coming out of nowhere and meowing extremely loud, she gets under your feet and has even been stepped on or knocked (she’s never been hurt don’t worry), i’ve tried ignoring her, but you can only ignore her for so long until she needs to be fed. she’s fed the same times every day, in the morning she gets dry food, in the afternoon she gets wet food.

she has recently had stomach issues, we’ve had to give her new food and she is EXTREMELY picky, she barely eats any of the dry food but it’s what was prescribed by the vet. we feed her “sensitive stomach” wet food which she eats fine, i add some hemp protein powder because i heard it aids digestion, she’s definitely been better since the food change, not vomiting as much, more solid poos, but she’s started demanding food SO early and it’s driving me up the wall. the constant meowing is sending me into sensory overdrive i have to just lock myself in my room until it’s her dinner time and i feed her.

i don’t know what she wants, she gets plenty of attention from me and my mom, she always has food, my only choice is to ignore her but every time i move she starts up again!

does anyone have suggestions? i’d super appreciate it.
