She's maybe 6 years old, not quite sure. She's my fiances cat and I've only known her about 3-4 years. She's usually pretty antisocial and isn't really interested in being pet or snuggled, but she won't do anything like attack you if you pick her up or pet her. She'll just begrudgingly accept it most of the time. We usually leave her to her own devices, she'll come around when she wants to play or get a pat or two and then she'll scuttle off to her usual spots.
Earlier this year I was doing some work at my computer and was whistling along to a song I was listening to and Nina appears seemingly out of nowhere and starts meowing at me, pawing at my leg, etc. I scoot out a little bit from the desk and she just hops into my lap and lays down. Stayed there for maybe 30-40 minutes and then disappeared like a shadow in the night as usual. She is currently taking residence here as I type this.
She seems to really enjoy it and will usually nap for a bit in my lap before moving on. Any idea why she might be doing this?
