I was the proud owner of a hyper, loving, pizza loving Jack Russell for 15 years. Yesterday, he fell and broke a disc in his spine. There wasn’t much we could do, so half an hour ago I went ahead and gave him peace. I feel really shitty and I miss him a lot already, but I know the alternative was gonna be too hard for him and myself. He couldn’t walk anymore. Last night he tried to drag himself to the kitchen and it broke my heart. The vet said there wasn’t gonna be a recovery and he was too old for surgery. As a rescue, i gave him the best life he could have had. I just need a place to post my thoughts. Thank you if you took the time to read this.
