How effective is ultrasound bark control for preventing excessive barking? Like the ones that have a microphone and a gate/threshold trigger level?

Neighbours began honking their cars with their key fobs to keep them quiet once they begin to bark for no reason, but ends up causing more noise and is even more painful for people around them.

I heard ultrasound conditioning is more humane than shock collars and doesn't actually harm the animals. I think they also are supposed to train the dogs so they are conditioned to hear the irritating buzz only they can hear as they bark.

I'm fully aware how ultrasound waves travel.
