Cat diagnosed with lymphoma

The worst day of my life. My cat was diagnosed with lymphoma. The Dr is not sure yet if it is small cell or large cell, It's in his GI tract. The only way to know is by doing a biopsy, and I don't have the money for that. The Dr said they're both treated the same way, so we're starting with steroids and what not to see how he does for a few weeks. Has anyone been through this? There is so much to this.... The emotional aspect and the task of administrating all of these medications. Just one week ago him and I were living our lives normally, and now I'm sticking chemotherapy pills down his throat. How do I do this.....? Can you all send some good vibes for Tonka and I that he only has small cell and can live a little longer. He is my best friend and I can't imagine my life without him, I am truly devastated. This is going to be the hardest thing I've ever had to do....... He is only 9.
