Changes in playtime/energy level that happened when you got a 2nd cat?

Hey there, I have been thinking a lot about a common issue that many new cat owners seem to have when they adopt a single cat- the issue being the manifestation of behavior related to desire to expend energy/ playtime / vocalization at their peak hours at night

From your experience, upon adding a second cat to your household successfully - would you say it overall lessened the behaviors associated with the before mentioned?

My simplistic train of thought is as follows :

*Get 2nd cat *Both cats learn to play with each other *Human:Cat playtime still required but noticeably less *More cuddles, less bottled up energy

I do understand that cat dynamics can vary- but I would be interested to hear about other peoples personal experience

My girl just turned 2, and I am looking forward to adding a second undetermined gender cat to my home this coming spring
