Hi there, me and my family have owned our cat since 2008 when she was a kitten, we adopted her along with her brother who sadly passed after only 10 months. Earlier this month, we adopted a puppy and as you might imagine my cat really does not like this, she is on high alert whenever it is around and is generally more anxious. The puppy is completely docile and has never done anything but slowly approach her, but she always responds in the same way, arching her back and hissing so that he will go away. This doesn't really seem abnormal since she hasn't lived with another animal in 11 years, especially since it's a dog this time, but it makes me sad to see her not feeling at ease in her own home and I was basically just going to ask if anyone had any advice.
