Cat throws up almost every time he eats wet food

Title says it all. Almost every time we give our cat wet food in the evening he throws it up again.

This does not happen when he eats his dry food or drinks water.

We are getting pretty tired of it and don't really want to give him wet food just so he can throw it up again. But he keeps meowing for wet food in the evening when he doesn't get it.

What can cause a cat to throw up so consistently?
