Hi,
My cat of 15 years passed away naturally at home yesterday. Even though we were told he doesn’t have long we were still hanging on and trying every recovery option possible. We’re happy he went with me and mum near him however it was distressing for us and we panicked afterwards. We always knew we wanted to bury him but we live in a unit. We tried to dig in the communal building garden but the roots from other plants & trees got in the way and I had no energy to dig at the time. We decided to go out and by a large pot filled one bag of soil and laid him to rest and place another 2 and some beautiful white plants that remind us of him he was all white. My question is - has anyone here buried their pet in a pot before? Do you think the smell as he decomposes will be overwhelming and we won’t be able to deal with it being on the verenda? We can take the whole pot down to the garden is that strange to do?
