Think I'm just writing a post for some support, and advice to keep weight on an old cat.
Feeling so sad about My girl cat she is 18. In the last month I've noticed her slowing down alot. She has arthritis and a heart murmur. She is still happy and goes out into the garden during the day in the warm sun. The back garden has a high fence, so she is always safely enclosed.
Recently she hasn't been eating as much and she sleeps alot more and staying inside in her bed. My heart is breaking and I know I'm going to lose her soon.
She has regular vet visits meds, bone and joint vitamins. I feed her every little think she will eat. She has pet milk but she is getting increasingly fussing and will only eat a very bad supermarket brand of wet cat food. I figure it's better than nothing. I'm still trying better options but she wont eat them like she use too.
I lost my dog about two years ago. He was my everything and she was his friend, seeing her go is going to be so hard. But I never want her to suffer and hold onto her to long for my own selfish reason of just keeping her. I know at the moment she is still ok. But when she gets bad I'll have to make that hard decision. And i dread it. Just enjoying every moment i have with her now is all i can do.
Sending love to all your pets. Their love is worth the sad when they pass wouldn't want it any other way.
