My wife and I are considering adopting a cat. I travel for work a lot, and she could use the company when I'm gone and I could when she's at work.
I haven't been responsible for a pet as an adult so I would like to make sure I am not forgetting anything. Besides the following is there anything else I should consider?
Veterinary provider and fees
Apartment fees
Preparing apartment for the presence of a pet (litter box, food, water, scratch pad etc)
Anything I'm forgetting?
