Hi everyone.
So I think I’m neglecting my pet chinchilla... I never let her food or water run out, I keep her cage clean, but in terms of spending time with her, I know that I am not giving her enough attention. I visit her a couple times a day, but that’s about it- I don’t take her out to play enough (maybe once every 2 weeks).
I’m really ashamed. When I get home from work (this is my first year with a full time job), I usually say hi to her, and then go strait to my room and hide in there for the rest of the night. Generally, by the time I get home, I just want to be alone and do nothing. It’s gotten way worse in these winter months.
Does anyone have any advice to adjust my own mental habits so that I can be a better owner to her?
