Why does my cat only play fight with me and not my family?

My cat is About 3 years old. He's normally very affectionate and cuddly. sometimes he'll get bursts of energy and chase me around the house or bite my legs or latch on. I can tell from his body language he's just playing rough. He doesn't have another cat to play with but sometimes he play fights with the family dog when he's let in the house.

I just wonder why he only ever does this to me and not my family? My mum will walk past him while he's full of energy ready to play and he won't budge but if I walk past right after he chases me.

I don't particularly mind the play fighting. Im just kind of confused about this behaviour and why it's only me he does this to (and the dog I guess lol). I want to make sure that theres nothing wrong.

For some background he was a rescue orphaned as a kitten. he was about 8 weeks when he was at the shelter but idk how old he was when he was taken in. He lived in a cat cafe with his siblings and then in a foster home with other cats until he was ready for adoption.

I'm also the main person who takes care of him. sometimes my parents will feed him if I'm out but he's my responsibility for the most part.

Just wanted some other people's thoughts on the matter!
