Adopting a 16 week old reduce pup...

Title edit: RESCUE PUP... not reduce 🤦‍♀️

2 weeks ago I put my darling dog down, she had a tumour on her lungs and was bleeding into her plural space. She was 13 years old. I’ve been thinking for a while of getting a dog for my 2yo twin sons... something they can play and grow up with. I found a lovely rescue pup who’s a bull Arab cross wolf hound.... she’s going to be a big girl.

Now atm I’m currently trying to procure a domestic violence order against my ex. I have depression that I am now medicated for... I worry that she might get hurt if someone decides to invade my home (my ex told me he has been thinking about having someone come kill me which is why I’m getting the DVO on him) will they hurt her? Will someone steal her and kill her horribly in order to punish me??? I don’t know...

After the DVO my ex plans on mediation and then taking me to court for the kids... my boys are still babies... can I manage 2 toddlers and a pup at the same time? Has anyone else been in this spot before.. I want to give a dog a new home and a good life but at the same time I worry that it’s going to be too much.
