Background: My cat is about 8 years old and has been on Blue Buffalo Indoors Salmon for the past six years. A couple years ago, he started throwing up after eating sometimes. In researching, I found that it could be either him eating to fast or growing intolerant to his food. About a year ago, I switched him to feeder balls instead of free feeding to help slow down his eating and changed to the basics food with fewer ingredients and a different variety of fish. He throws up less, but it's still having some issues, so I'm considering changing brands and/or proteins. He likes things from cans (all cans in the house are for him in his mind), so I've considered going wet, but am concerned that he'll eat it too fast and still have vomiting issues. From past experience, he will only eat wet food that is fished based and nibbles a little at other meats. He may not eat other proteins in dry form either?
Any recommendations on a good quality food to consider?
