My recently adopted 1.5 year old cat (microchipped + fixed) ran out the door and I cannot get him to come back inside. I've left old litter, dirty clothes, and treats outside. I've spotted my cat in the neighborhood but whenever I approach him (however gently) he eventually runs away to places where I cannot catch him. I am at a loss for how to proceed. I suppose the next step would be a cat-trap. However, my neighborhood has tons of strays so I'd likely catch about 5 randos before I get my cat... If you have any tips or ideas I'd appreciate it...feeling helpless!
