I can't get her to wear booties and she's a toy Aussie so she loves to run more than anything. I noticed it only happens when we go to the dog park and not just our regular walks or weekly hike. We live in an apartment so it's the only time she can run freely without a leash and she will literally chase dogs for hours if I let her. It's on her front right paw and it's the big center paw pad that's turned red. It happens every time and it sucks because she will limp for about a day and that's it. I feel like it's too minor for a vet visit but if it sounds worse than it is I will take her. I just want second opinions or tips on this. My other dog is a German Shepherd and is almost as high energy, he just doesn't have to take as many steps as her and he's never had his paws raw.
