So my partner and I are having a 3 month old kitten shipped from Edmonton to Toronto to us in a month, it is a direct, domestic flight with Westjet for 5-6 hours, but I am really worried about her well-being in the cargo with no supervision, having to deal with loud noises, and being in cold temperature at the end of March (highest 2 degrees, lowest -5 degrees Celsius). So my question is, will the staff handle the animals with care? Is the weather suitable for a young kitten to fly in cargo? We know that the cargo is climate controlled but moving animals into/out of plane exposes them to the cold weather so that worries me a lot. Not to mention any sudden noise or movement would easily startle a young kitten compared to a grown cat or dog. It would really help hearing from some of you who has shipped their cats/pets with westjet before and how it went. Thank you so much for reading
