I have to board my dog for 5 days. The last time I did (for 7 days), she didn’t eat very much and lost a few pounds over that week. What can I do to make this easier for her?

I already plan on bringing canned food (she normally gets dry kibble, so wet food is something I occasionally give as a treat) to the boarding facility so they can mix a bit with her dry stuff to make her want to eat. I’m also going to send her off with one of my worn t-shirts so it has my scent on it (I’m only guessing this will help), and one of her favorite toys. I didn’t do any of this last time, so I’m hoping it will help.

I don’t leave her often, and when I do I usually have a friend or family member come to my home to care for her. Unfortunately, no one was available this time.

The place I board her at is the nicest in town, so I know they’re treating her well. She will be walked/played with 4x/day there.

Idk what else to do to help my furbaby.

She’s an 8 y/o female boxer if this helps.
