Unfortunately, my hamster passed away a month ago and I was pretty upset. I disinfected my cage and everything and I am ready for a new pet. I've always wanted rats or a bunny but I'm not sure if the cage I have is suitable for any of them. I know rats need a wired cage but will this cage do?

It's basically made for IKEA tabletops and is 39 x 22 inches and 18 inches high (877 square inches). The table isnt really made of wood so pee wont soak in. This cage is on the floor.
