Okay, so I am a college student out of state (19m). I room with 3 other people who I am friends with who like cats but wont go out of their way to care for them. Sometimes I fly back home during breaks, and apparently both of my parents are allergic to cats (although they might just be saying that to dissuade me from getting a cat.) Ever since my friend got a kitten, and he grew up for a couple months (my godcat) I have been wanting one really bad. I generally feel depressed a lot and I think a cat would help, plus they are low maintenance and all around pretty cool. I want a companion for a long time but my roommates said they wouldn't watch him if I couldn't take him back for a break, and I am staying at my parents place over the summer and I wouldn't be able to take him with for already stated reasons.
WHAT DO I DO??? I want a cat so bad and I want a friend to just chill around and play with, plus I think it would really help my mental state, but everyone I talk to keeps giving me reasons its a bad idea. Any advice?
