My cat won’t eat his dry food anymore!

Hey guys,

So I’ve had my cat for about 6 months and he’s 3 years old roughly. For the first 2-3 months I had him we gave him only dry food. We tried a few different options and he always ate all of it, was never picky. Slowly I began to introduce wet food, now he eats wet food and dry food every day. We usually give him dry in the morning and wet at night.

Recently, he’s stopped eating his dry food!!! I know he’s hungry but he won’t eat it. I put it out at 9 am, he looks at it for a few minutes, takes a few bites, and then leaves it. I’ll come home at 4 pm and the bowl will still be full.

If I put the wet food on top of the dry food at dinner time, he’ll eat all the wet food and some of the dry, but still leave the rest of the dry! Eventually he eats it all but I’m worried he’s just hungry all day and I don’t understand why he’s doing this. We have never had this problem before.

How can I fix this? Has anyone else had this happen?
