I’ve been with my SO for over a year and he KNOWS how much I love cats. My putrrrfect, grouchy baby girl passed away a couple months ago and he saw me go through that tough time.
I want to rescue a middle/old cat who needs that love (which, trust me, that cat will FEEL that love with soooo much cuddles it won’t know how to handle it!!!!!). He says no. He doesn’t want to live with animals because they are messy. He grew up with a lot of cats. He also doesn’t like to see me cry.... nice thought but I cry at everything so....
When I had my baby girl (farm cat Siamese), all my time was with her! She was spoiled rotten (man do I miss her). I need another companion but my SO doesn’t seem to understand. I need something to take care of by playing, petting, sleeping/cuddling with. You can only pet a human for so long and it just isn’t the same.
Is there a way for me to convince him? I keep bring the subject up.
