New Cat Advice

Hi all. I’m not sure if this is quite the proper place but I kinda just want a response quickly so if it needs to be removed so be it. Anyways,

My neighbor’s boss (who is quite rich) recently had a kid and they brought him home to find out he is deathly allergic to cats. They have a cat who is about 6 months old and, sadly, they had it declawed. We said we would take it as they were simply looking to give it away as fast as possible. We have always had a lot of animals including cats, dogs, chickens, ducks and many other so we are not new to adding a new animal to the family. But we have never and will never declaw a cat as we, and many others, find it to be cruel. She walks perfectly fine and plays with the cat toys fine and does not seem to be in any pain. So we were wondering if their is any advice about how we can make sure she never goes into any pain or if there is anything else we can do to help her. Thank you

TL;DR; Cat we took in was declawed with her previous owners, any advice as to what can be done to help her even though she is not in any pain as of right now throughout her life.
