I have two male cats, one is 4 and fixed and the other is 2 and not. I offered to watched a female cat until I find her a home. We assume she is 2 1/2 to 3 years old, who is not fixed, for a man who took her in because his neighbor left her outside but can't keep her because he found he's allergic when she started to get very close with him. Ive kept her shut in my room all day yesterday and she didn't move around too much but last night she started venturing out, just to hide somewhere else. Surprisingly when my cats first saw her neither hissed at her or anything (as for my 2 year old he's the sweetest and only like 6-7 pounds so not very intimidating and I've never seen him hiss or growl at another animal or anybody besides when I first brought him home and my older cat did first). She's hissing and growling at my cat through the door, and I've yet to successfully get along with her either but I've not tried much since she's got a bit to adjust to.
My main question: Should I bother getting her comfortable here first if I'm going to give her away? Should I wait and see if she can get along with them, and my two dogs (one small and one large) for other's reference? I also don't want her to have to go through this whole process again.
