I just rescued an 8 week old puppy this week. Every time I’ve given him food, I’ve always pet him gently while he’s eating. So far he hasn’t growled or shown any care really that I'm touching him. Should I continue to do this to solidify that behavior? Or should I stop since he’s not showing any kind of food guarding/aggression? If I should continue, for how long?
