Recently adopted a new kitten about two weeks ago, came from petsmart's shelter program. She has an upper respiratory infection, which the vet thinks is causing an infection in her eye (the reason I brought her in). Also discovered the shelter didnt include her deworm info, so had to do that as well. And the big one, she has ear mites. She was treated there, and I was told to watch my older cat for signs of mites, but they didnt seem concerned with my dogs.
However, upon getting home, i noticed my husky scratching his ears, and shaking his head a lot, which I've noticed over the last few days, and assumed he was getting hair in his ears since he is shedding. My longhaired doxie has always had itchy ears, but now I'm concerned. None of the other animals have any kind of build up present. Is there any issue in treating all the animals for ear mites? I've seen a few recommendations for Revoltuion, so that is what I'm considering. Are there any other precautions I should take?
