Okay, so I've had my boy Jaya since he was a few weeks old. He's now 4 and a half and a while ago, he started having this aversion to the general sounds of (manually) doing the dishes, especially the sounds of cutlery coming into contact with plates. He starts chirping at me, just as if he'd tell me to stop.doing.that.immediately. If I don't stop he'll proceed to get the zoomies and run angrily around the house while making loud-pitched, animal-in-distress sounds. I don't have room for a dishwasher as I live in a small apartment. I've tried putting him inside the bedroom but he hates closed doors and knows how to open them by jumping on the handle. If the door is locked he'll just jump on it until I unlock it. I obviously need to wash dishes often, but is there anything I can do to make it easier for him? I've tried playing music and giving him new toys to keep him busy in the meantime but it doesn't work.
