We moved into our house in February, we have several pets. Everything was fine until around late spring hit, we've had a lot of rain and started noticing fleas downstairs / basement so I bought several bags of Seven to put down in the yard, I've done that twice making sure to get around the perimeter but it seems to have had no effect, also did a LOT of cleaning / killing fleas downstairs. We've tried giving the pets a bath daily, washing bedding, vacuuming and putting down flea powder for the carpet upstairs, keeping grass short and I've sprayed indoor bug killer around the baseboards but it hasn't been helping.
I would use a fogger but the reason I haven't is because our kitchen is downstairs so I don't want food / plates to get contaminated, the dinning room is currently being used as storage and we also have an infant. We have purchased two flea traps that are working great but it's not 100%, it's like they're multiplying faster than I can kill them.
I'm desperate and extremely stressed out, will DEFINITELY be getting the yard professionally sprayed next year. Is a fogger my only option, and if so is there some that I can get that are non toxic and don't leave a residue on everything?
