So, I’ve got a cat that’s about 2 1/2 years old. We’ve had him since he was 8 weeks, and when he was a kitten he was absolutely fine with us - friendly, playful etc. The older he’s gotten the less friendly to humans he’s become. If I or my boyfriend approach him, most of the time he will run away and hide. However, he’s really friendly first thing in the morning (like he will jump on our bed and purr in our face, I suspect because he wants his breakfast). Sometimes he lets us fuss him during the day, normally before mealtimes...
We have 2 other cats, and they all get along great, so I don’t think he’s really stressed out with his home environment. The other two cats love us and are really friendly lap cats that enjoy being fussed. Is there anyone else who’s had a similar thing with one of their cats? Is there anything I can do to make him less afraid of people, or is that just how he is personality wise - maybe he just isn’t a fan of people?
