Hey everyone
I'm writing this because right now I'm in a state of shock. My 2 year old boy was brought to the vet due to a gas leak that happened in our home and despite looking completely normal and healthy I took him in to be on the safe side. The vet took him in and said he had a small fever and it sounded like his lungs were a bit swollen. They did a blood test and said that it looks healthy but they think he was "exposed to FIP" When I asked if he would live a normal life the vet said it's a 96-97% chance that he will. But upon reading about FIP it seems it's always fatal. I'm so devastated I don't know if I should get a second opinion?
He’s also threw up in the past three days and I can’t tell if he’s just stressed since he seems fine after and will go for more food.
