Hi guys! I've never had a pet of my own due to my parents, but I am a huge animal lover. I'm 23 years old, in law school, and live in a one bedroom apartment in NYC. I study from home, so I think this is the best time to adopt and train a cat. I've been advised not to get a kitten because they require a lot of attention, but I have a friend of a friend who is giving up her cat's kitten (3 months old). I'm ok with giving up a night life until she grows up a bit more, but since I live alone she would be alone if I go out for a run or to the grocery store. I don't know how much care they actually need that young.
What do you guys recommend? Adopt the kitty or adopt an adult cat?
Thanks!
