My cat gets incredibly upset when I lock her out of my room, which I’ve started doing at night because she repeatedly wakes me up when I try to sleep. But this solution isn’t great. When locked out, she meows for ages, and she used to do her best to destroy the bottom of my door before I put a gate up. She seems upset, but I need the sleep. I’ve seen other advice saying to lock her in with me, and ignore her attempts to wake me up instead, but when I ignore her attempts she starts tearing at my new bed frame or she starts knocking things over in my room. I really can’t afford to let her break things as a part of a learning curve.... so do you guys have any other advice?
