Hi everyone! I have a few questions regarding the transport of rodents (mice). Before I go on I'll quickly explain my situation. Thank you for taking your time and reading this! I am in the following situation: my girlfriend wants some mice but in her local area are no breeders or shops which sell them (we looked in a 150km radius). Also she has no drivers license yet. I am living 250km away from her and at my place is a shop where I could buy a few mice. But they have to come onto a 250km trainride with me until they will be able to enjoy their new home. I will get a transportbox for them. The journey will take up to 4 hours (thanks to the DeutscheBahn).
Do they need food during that time? If yes, would some vegtables work? Should I put a blanket or something around the cage so the trainsound gets dampened a bit? or do they get stressed by that? How much layers of newspaper or hay should I put into the box?
Sorry I never had a pet and this is all very new to me, also sorry if I forgot to ask something or lacked to describe something :(
