Keep an open mind people

So i studied animal care. And i have asked and given advice to many people. And one thing that i always hear when i give advice

me: giving advice The person: "oh no that can't be true i have done this for (insert number) years now, and everything has gone right"

And that right there irritates me. Because of this

Olivia has 3 hamsters, they do live seperate but all in very small cages. Me: "a hamster likes to burrow, and needs a cage that is at least 648 sq inches, there super active and need a lot of space" Olivia: "oh no your wrong i have kept hamsters like this for 14 years now. So i know what is best for a hamster"

So long story short. You can do something your whole life wrong and think you do it right. Or do some research and do it right, and keep listening to others advice.

I love it if people go against me. Show me why i am wrong about my pet care. But tell me exactly why i am doing it wrong, why your idea helps my animal improve. But don't come with the excuse "oh i have been taking care of this kind of animals for 60 years now so i know what i am doing"

even my mom did this, she doesn't walk her dog, i have to do that. Once she does it she keeps stressing about it because the dog is off leash and she barks (protects her owner) at every other dog. And when i confront her that she should walk her dog more often, and that she should put her on a leash "oh i had dogs all my life, you don't tell me how to take care of them"

like no this is not a good argument people. Instead of telling me how long you have worked with an animal, tell me why i am doing it wrong and you are doing it right.

Btw. I don't mind walking the dog. But we already had one, but she kept arguing about how the dog never gave her any attention so she wanted another one. And we asked "so you'll walk this dog" "yess" "you'll feed it" "yess" etc. "Okay so do it now with this dog and then you can have your own dog" "no" so with that we all agreed she shouldn't have her own dog, except my mother. And then one day she just walked in with a dog. And she barely walks her because me and my father does it. I don't mind walking the dog. But if i do it once it is wierd if i don't do it the next time. Like take care of your own dog.

Yeah thanks for reading bye.
