My cat is four years old. She knows what a litter box is, she’s typically good at using it. However, I’ve noticed that she now refuses to use one. Her main one was in our bathroom just down the hall from my room but she refuses to walk down there. I have a suspicion that it’s because my family is so loud, it keeps her from walking to it. We got a new litter box to put in my room and she refuses to use it. Im thinking it’s because it is a covered box and I will try leaving it uncovered. She keeps peeing on the carpet and beds. It’s really frustrating and we’ve tried and tried. It’s not frustrating enough that I’m willing to give her up but frustrating because I feel absolutely helpless. Is there anything I can do to help her? Anything to keep her from peeing everywhere? I know I can’t do anything about my siblings and parents but maybe I can help her use the one in my room? This is my first time being a cat owner and this problem developed recently..
