We bought the malti-poo about 2 weeks ago together. He is only about 3 months old and its very unfortunate for this to be happening so soon within the timeframe we had gotten him. The breeder told us hes been up to date with vaccinations and hes even had the Parvovirus vaccine. For about the first few days he was playful and eating his food, drinking enough water etc... It wasnt until 6 days or so later that my brother told me he was having dark colored runny motion. He took him to the vet and for another few days he was fine with the medication theyd given for a while. Just yesterday he dropped it off at my place for a while cause he had a dentist appointment and he wanted me to watch over and play with it for a while. I tried feeding him but he wouldnt eat or even barely drank water. He used to love treats but wouldnt even have them. In addition, he was less playful and would sleep all the time like he had no energy to even walk. After he started vomiting, we had realized this was serious. I took him to the vet for the exam and told us he might need admittance to the ICU as he was tested positive. Couldnt afford the overnight treatment so took the fluids and self care route and brought him home.
They gave me the medication but not sure if that will suffice. I wrapped him in a blanket and gave him some warm water to drink and let him snooze. Me and my brother are both worried he wont make it. We contacted the breeder but the guy is being a disrespectful idiot and telling us the vaccines were given and its not his problem from there. Barely offering to help. Were contemplating on whether we should just give him up as we wouldnt be able to bear the burden of losing him. Hes still very young
