I adopted a 6months old female kitten yesterday. Since i brought her home she is hiding under my bed and only comes out when im asleep... she also meow ed all night last night so i could barely get any sleep. She is vaccinated and will be sterilized in a month. I don't know what to do with her? She let me pet her today for the first time and i gave her some soft food in my hands and she ate it all as well (under my bed obviously) lol When i went to bed last night she came out to drink and eat and to roam around. She also used her litter box... Is there any advice on how to make things better? I also heard female cats take more time to adopt and warm up with their new owner. Is that accurate? Ive had dogs but never owned a cat before. Is there any reason why she was meowing? Or what should i do to make her come out of her hiding spot?
