Any time my door is open he runs into my room. If he sees my cat he'll chase her with hunting body language. She is not a fan of it and runs away from him. They both hiss at each other and she has gotten at least one scratch from fighting him. He''ll come in and eat her food, chase her into a corner, or just be a general pain in the ass.
It's irritating for me as well to have to always remember to shut my door or risk potential injury to my cat.
How can I condition him to avoid my room?
Cat repellent spray doesn't keep him off furniture, water spray on the head gets him out, but doesn't keep him out, picking him up by the scruff and tossing him onto the couch will keep him out for a few hours but any opportunity he has he takes.
Both cats are spayed/neutered, my roommate's door doesn't latch all the way and her cat can open it so it can't be fixed by keeping him out of the living room.
