I had recently taken my cats to a new vet after moving back to Pennsylvania. The doctor had a few concerns with their health but wanted to treat one cat's watery eyes with anti-biotics. My old vet always thought it was allergies and he's had it his whole life. It was particularly bad this visit so I thought that I guess he could be right and just wanted to play it safe so I used the treatment on him. I did try to argue with him that it was allergies but he made me think it was worth trying.
A little after finishing the course of treatment I noticed his third eyelids were constantly visible. I ended up going back to the vet (different doc this time) and they tried Tobramycin and Ketorolac eyedrops. Also Onsior tablets. That didn't help so now I'm trying Zyrtec since when I explained over and over again that it was allergies she mentioned he could take that. I did call and get specific dosage info.
I really don't think anything they do is going to help. He was tested for parasites so it's not that. So is my cat just going to be like this for the rest of his life?
