My parents have a male bulldog (4yrs) and I have a male St. Bernard/Labrador mix (almost 11mo).
Bulldog is Bentley and Labernard is Harvey.
Today Bentley randomly growled and lunged at Harvey as he walked by, and Harvey backed off and kept walking.
About an hour ago Bentley attacked Harvey and it got pretty bad before we were able to split it up. Harvey actually defended himself this time and equally attacked. Luckily neither of them had even a scratch on them.
Now neither of them are fixed. My parents want to breed Bentley and I was told by the vet to wait until Harvey’s 18mo or it could lead to a few different health issues. I know their testosterone levels are raging, and it’s probably a territorial thing, but does anyone have any advice as how to stop/prevent it from happening? Or how we should go about it? Thanks!
