Unwell cats, and cleanliness

Hey all, I made a post recently about my Cat archie.

Well, he seems, god willing, to be on the upwards journey.. and tomorrow we find out the big news of his diagnosis..

This has a 60% chance of a minor irritation to his lung, which has caused inflammation (Hopefully it’s this) which i guess would be the better alternative but not perfect

Or. It could be a really early stage of lung cancer, the head Vet seems to think it’s unlikely as she cannot see anything other then enflamed lungs, and nobody smokes in my family if that means anything.

Anyway, my question. When visiting him.. he’s got a tube in his nose as he’s not eating properly, and also a collar kind of thing. Now, around where his fur is (he’s been partially shaved) he’s got some sticky bits/grouping of fur.

Is this because he can’t properly groom himself currently? Is this common for an unwell cat? Is there anything I can do to clean him, which won’t bother him? (special wipes or something)

thanks all.

Here’s to my trooper Archie! Fighting it all the way home x
