8 week Kitten has diarrhoea and started vomiting yesterday ... what can I do to help?

Hi

Bought kitten 3 days ago. Went to vent 1st day health check was fine. Then 2nd diarrhoea started... went to the vet probiotics prescribed and poo samples to be taken. Then 3rd vomiting started once on the day... told by vet to monitor. Is this normal for a new kitten who is trying to settle down in new home? Also there are incidents were kitten is trying to look for what I assume is milk in blanket making sucking motions. Can this be related to not weaning properly? Thanks
