I feel fucking lost and hopeless. I have been battling a flea problem for several months. It doesn't effect me, but it effects the cats and I hate seeing them in discomfort in pain. Does anybody have any sort of success story and how I can eradicate this problem? I've spent hundreds of dollars on different remedies but at the end of the day nothing works. This is what I have currently done so far:
I bathe them weekly and get all the fleas off their body. After their bath, I bomb the entire house with flea bombs. I have done this for 5 weeks straight. This is the most effective method I have tried but it has not eradicated the flea race and they always come back.
I vacuum daily.
I've tried the flea powder that goes on carpet - doesn't do jack shit.
I constantly throw the the sheets and blankets in the washer to get rid of any eggs.
I brush them with a flea comb. Sometimes it is able to pick up a straggler flea on them and it also picks up any flea feces on them. But it doesn't fix the problem.
I've applied the topical medication that comes in tubes and is a liquid that goes on their fur. I've probably went through 10+ bottles with my two cats and used 2-3 different brands. Doesn't work. I called the vet and they explained they have their own shit called "Revolution Plus" but I don't wanna waste any more money, time, or effort on any more bullshit that probably won't work anyway.
Is there ANYTHING else I can possibly do to get rid of these damn fucking fleas? The only other thing I can think of at this point is to get rid of all the furniture in my house and move to another place with no carpet. But I can't do that. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!
