So for context I’m 14 and I live with parents I also have 2 sister and we have 2 cats 3 rabbits and I have a 55 gallon fish tank that I bought with my own money I take care of it they have done nothing to help with it I’m the past year I’ve had it nor have I asked them to do anything the 3 rabbits my parents also do nothing for me and my sisters have done everything for them for the past 5 years the only thing my mom does is that cat litter box nothing else I do the rest. So with that out of the way as the title says I want a dog always have but my parents don’t want to get one really give a solid reason though I’ve offered to pay for it, i get good grades, I said I would take care of all of the chores it would require my parents are no stranger to dogs my mom had dogs her entire life often more than one my dad also had a dog when he was younger. So I’ve come here for advice on how I can better convince my parents for a dog. Also if you were wondering yes I do chores around the house.
Edit: Sorry I should add they have said that they want a dog and they said they would talk about getting one within four years but you should now that coming from my parents talking about it means very very little
