Our cat Ike is around 5 months old, healthy, happy and a little terror, we love him and would do anything for him, but he does have a few annoying behaviours.
Most we just deal with as they come up, but the one that’s becoming a real issue is that he likes to lick our faces while we sleep. Specifically the nose, but if we hide that, then he licks our eyes, which isn’t exactly better
From what I understand this is a sign of affection and he most likely just wants attention, so we don’t want to scold him or anything, but damn, papa needs to sleep and he does it every night!
The best my cat owning friends can manage is “just shut him out of the bedroom at night” but since he’s an indoor cat, we don’t want to close off parts of the house to him unless we absolutely have to.
Does anyone have any advice about this, or overcome anything similar?
