Hi there, I was wondering if anyone would be able to help/reassure me. Over the weekend we became aware of my kitten leaving little grains around the house and after a lot of research, came to the conclusion that they are tapeworm eggs. I rang the vet who didn’t seem too worried and said that he was treated for worms last week. She said that he may have ingested another flea that was infected but I’ve checked him over and am pretty certain he doesn’t have fleas. When the vet looked him over last week, I was told there were no fleas but there was some “flea dust”. I made sure to bathe him once the flea and worm treatment had done its thing so I don’t know how this is possible?
He doesn’t really have other symptoms than the eggs besides maybe a slightly bloated tummy. No diarrhoea, no vomiting, he isn’t lethargic. I’m just getting really worried because he’s my first pet and it’s only been a couple of weeks since we picked him up. I have a vet appointment tomorrow but I’m just hoping for some peace of mind. Thank you for any advice/help you can offer!
