Ok, so a few months ago or rather this past summer (or close to the end of it), me and my cousins had asked my aunt and our grandma if we can adopt/get a puppy. Both of them had said yes. So we spent the whole summer buying all the neceessary supplies. To make a long story short, the pups were born sometime in August and when we got two pups, they ended up being really sick even though we didn't know until we took them to the vet. So, we've waited for the past two or three months to make sure that everything is clean and yes, we had to surrender the pups because we couldn't pay the constant medical bills to get treat the sickness they had.
To give you some clarity on where my family lives, we live in an apartment building, a rather small one (both my aunt's and grandma's apartments share a single wall so the apartment building is basically a duplex? I think that's the word...?) and we're currently looking for a small dog or small breed of dog (preferably two pups so that my cousins can know what it's like to actually take care of a pup and raise it from when it's practically weaned). We already have all the necessary items and food, etc to care for the pups and we're already gonna have to pay $250 to the landlord or the Housing Committee in Tennessee for each dog (so we'd be paying $500 put together).
I've been searching for weeks now for a good place to look for dogs, ones that are healthy and have had all their shots. But since my aunt is all the time warning me about the possibility of what happened with our last pups a few months ago, I was wondering if anyone knows of a place in Tennessee where we could get healthy pups (again, preferably of a small breed due to our small apartments, and with most or all the shots--because the Housing Department/Committee or the landlord made it a rule that any animal--like dogs or cats--that we bring in will have to have all their shots or in the least we would get the dogs their shots within the first year).
So, please, anyone who lives close to Tennesse or in Tennesee, can you help? Hell, I'd be happy with just finding a good website that has a good reputation of having people who don't scam others or don't seem shady. Thank you~!
